I've been picking up a few good deals lately. First, a 75 Collegiate 5, looking forlorn in it's ebay pic.
I think the chrome will clean up real nice, and the paint's not terrible. Saw a blue version somewhat minty-er go for $216 the other night! Gives me hope, since the shipping on this was pricey. Next, fresh from Goodwill, a $15 OC Chopper!
Bit rough, but for the price? Parked next to it in the store was this Solar Cycles mtb, also $15!
Has decent quality rims and a 3 piece crank. Finally, on cl, $3 tire sale! The guy was very cool, used to co-own a shop.
Got a pair of 1.95 Kenda Kwests, 2 2.0 Kommuters, 2 20 x 1.95 Kontacts, pair of Pyramid gumwall 27"s, and some 1.75 cheng shins, all new, w/most with the tags still on! I have plans for these, wish he had more!! He also had a sweet campus green Sting Ray w/a 2 speed kickback, and a cool vintage 20" trike kit with a differential in it! I told him to join up here and the Cabe for starters! -Adam
