I got some stuff today. These bikes are not eye candy, but the price was right. Beware of pictures!

1984 Mongoose with some really nice parts on it, not sure what I can get for the stem? Pretty heavy duty though. If only this was a KOS Kruiser though...

Diamondback MTB, not sure what to do with it. I'll probably end up dragging it behind the shed with a shotgun.

Schwinn Sidewinder, same year as me! I'm going to fix it up and flip it on the CL to hopefully make more than what I have into it... pocket change.

Nice score on the Mongoose ATB.

Did it only have the back wheel?

Let me know if you decide to part that bike out.

i found a 80s?? mongoose yesterday. it's chrome? and has the boys frame (straightbar) it's in good shape. i didn't ask the guy what he wanted for it. i think he doesn't ride it anymore. what do you suppose it's worth (in good shape and complete)

:?:

killer find Im supposed to be gettin one of those Mongooses complete here pretty quick! And back pedler was there any frame stickers that you remember.Mongooses name has been in the toilete for quite a few years now,and not worth 2 rusty pennies.Make sure to post of a picture before you buy and we could tell you if its worth it.

I wish the Mongoose came with the front wheel but it didn't. But that didn't stop me, I had a mint condition ARAYA wheel that was collecting dust. I'll fix up the Mongoose and put it on the CL, or keep it if I'm really attached. I'm a sucker for chrome. The front derailleur was shot (gone, actually) so it has to be a 5-speed. I'm glad the whole bike is chrome because I just love cleaning it! Also, the AME grips were junk. The rubber has been melted so as I was taking one off, it just separated in two pieces?

As for the Schwinn Sidewinder... I spent hours fixing it up. The rear wheel was trashed but I got it straight. The front brake lever was broken but I had an extra (thanks for parts bikes!). The rear brake cable was frozen but WD-40 did the job. Now it rides and functions great! I put it on the CL.
