Have you ever been out and find a smokin' deal on a bike you have wanted for YEARS and not have the cash to get it? Well that happened to me today. I have a $40 HUTCH staring me in the face and I'm BROKE. He did say he'd hold it for me till I get paid though. :D

Re: A bad feeling

I been racking my brain all day trying to run around and sell anything I own to get it.

Re: A bad feeling

It's just a frame and it's been re-painted but I have always wanted one and I will get it.

Re: A bad feeling

Well, you could sell somthing that all of these hipsters want, maybe put a single speed freewheel onto a diamond frame and forget the brakes. 40$ on cl it probably will be gone before Friday.

Re: A bad feeling

I had a bad feeling last night also an then bam it happenned droped an injector fill my engine with fuel an spun the berrings luckily I wasnt broke but I will be by the time this is fixed $1,800 for a wrecker an not sure what the rebuild will cost sure it wont be cheap but look at he bright side atleast I'll have time for my buildoff bike

Re: A bad feeling

Ouch, Hope the crank is okay or you're into it for a few grand more. Tear down alone ain't gonna be cheap. Good luck with it.

But enough gloom and doom. You all ready for some good news...

You sure you're ready?

Awesome man, I went out and put some parts on the Hutch and went for a ride in the pouring rain. I didn't care, it's been hot all day and I couldn't help it I HAD to ride it. I feel like a little kid on Christmas! I forgot just how light these things were. :D

 yes, yes yes. 40$? The stickers are worth that! Vintage bmx for the win!
Yeah if I passed on this I couldn't have lived with myself. I kinda liked the look of the stickers myself but eventually I'm going to get a decal set and repaint it black. Might get it powder coated, but for now I just wanna ride.

Looks nice man.

Well found out it is NOT a pre serial. It was just buried in paint. Is there a serial chart for Hutch?
0744894 also found it was originally red.

Well my research has turned up that it is a 1985 Hutch Judge. What is really cool about this is that I was born in 1985! Also got these cool grips back to put on it. I sold them on a bike to a kid down the road and traded him a frame for the grips back.

And just out of nostalgia here it is on my old school bike rack. It's been 20 years since I had a Hutch bike on that rack.
