A couple of recent finds

I got this 36-40?? Monark Rocket and a Sears portabike. I added the seat and light to the Monark (going to replace the tires with some Goodyear DoubleEagles. The seat was recovered with the leather from an old "doctor's bag". The textured leather is cool. How about that kickstand. The Sears (72) has a 3 speed and can be taken down to 2 separate pieces. It has racks and a cup holder, perfect for the neighborhood treat runs.

That Monarch is awesome, regardless of the mustard paint. The folder is downright useful. :wink:

I don't mind the mustard per se, just not on the seatpost, kickstand, BB locknut, etc. :| How can they rust properly? :lol:

i didn't recover the seat. i bought it at a swap meet (ha) in iowa (ha) last august. i paid $30 for the seat as you see it - what a deal! some dude gets them and recovers them - does good work considering the price. i hope he's there again this year. the leather is as heavy as a typical seat.
