A few days ago I had a meeting on site with the lady from the local authorities.Fortunatly it didn't bother her that I built the shed mirrored to the original plan and I got the final approval that the shed is legal! 🥳
The only thing that is left to do now, is send her the updated plans and then I'll get the approval in writing! So I hit the SketchUp site again and drew new plans...

I think this should be ok for them...
While on site I took some nice pictures. The night before it was foggy and around -12° C so everything was covered with a beautiful coat of structured ice...

Man, I love this project. Congratulation on the approval! That must be quite a relief to have that meeting behind you. Your ice structure photos are really cool.
Yeah, it was a big relief, that's true. Worst case scenario would have been taking it all down when we give back the garden someday. But now I can plan ahead. There are still some features missing like composting toilet and solar power... 😉
Those ice structures will probably be the closest thing we get to white Christmas here in Berlin, so you have to take what you get... 😁

Spring has finally arrived in Berlin and the shed can prove it's worth while we start into the gardening season. Here are a few shots from it's actual appearance:

The little kitchenette is already stocked up in crockery and cuttlery:

What it now still needs is a serious cleanup to get rid of all the remaining tools and materials that are not needed anymore for the remaining steps (like a bike, this shed will probably never be really done) :giggle:

I keep a wood storage area stocked with recycle wood. Pallets used to be made of maple, oak and pawlonia wood. Pawlonia is very light but quite strong. The only issue with pallets is the industrial nails they use to make them are very hard to get out. I love your shed. You did a great job on it and kept the cost way down. Good work.

Tonight is the first time we (me an the kids) will sleep in our garden shed!

Today I spent most of the time doing garden work, repairing our garden prep table (on the left) and building a table for the sink right next to it.

Now we are on the campground, so tomorrow I'll probably be ready for some updates on my SwingBike...

I saw this thread lurking for a while and now decided to have a look. That shed is absolutely gorgeous! Love the instructable build plan and to see the fun you had with your kids. Memories in the making, hope to do the same with my kids, build, learn and have fun :inlove:
Vikings had these A-frame tents that remind me of your shed.

I just finished drawing my "garden canopy" with rough beams (chestnut) and pine wood roofing. We plan to build an outside wood stove kitchen there. Maybe I can share it here on Ratrodbikes :39:

Anyway, love to see the craftmanship, great work!

Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you like the project. There is still some minor stuff to do in it, but I got other priorities at the moment.
