I got this ladies Murray 3-speed with a twist grip shifter for free. It needed a tune, tires and cables. I am guessing 1960's. Hope to flip it. Listed on C/L for $80.

This one is a Parkpre Solitude MTB. I got it at a garage sale for $5 and she threw in a homemade chocolate chip cookie. I tuned it and put on new tires. I did some research on Parkpre and I they were only in business for a handful or years in the 90's, started by a designer who left Diamondback.
It seems to be very well made. I have it on C/L for $85. Anybody know more about these bikes? Is my price in the ballpark?

If the MTB is chromo I'd be asking at least $125 for it...especially if everything is working and it's in good shape.

That's pricing for the Dallas market though....not sure what the economy is like where you live.

On the Murray, the headbadge decal sure looks 60's, but is that a BMI sticker on the seat tube? I heard those went on starting in the early 70's. I like the twist grip shifter.

I could get $150 for that mtb here in CT. It's sweet. Looks identical to a SuperGo frame, which if it is, it might be made from Columbus tubing.

It's a CRMO tube frame. I 'm in Colorado so the MTB market is pretty strong. The bike is all there and works great, I took it for a ride yesterday. Maybe I will up the price, thanks guys.

Regarding the Parkpre...bikepedia can be handy for determining the year of manufacture http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&o ... +bikepedia

My wife has a Parkpre Comp Limited that she bought new in '97. It's currently in Afghanistan with her.

My Balance AL750 that I bought at the same time was stolen while we lived in Hawaii. I'd still have that thing as well.
