I just saved this rusty beauty from the garbage, and she now parthat of me fast growing collection. I have been searching, with no luck, for any info at all on her. The serial number reads I424139. Thank you for any help you all can lend.

Looks like a HP Snyder (Rollfast) probably near the end of production in the 1970s, which I'm guessing at going by the "head badge" sticker. Could be late 1960s I suppose.
 
I agree, a 60's Snyder made bike. I think early 70's is when Rollfast (Snyder) came out with the next version of chain wheel with the 3 spokes with circles cut out, and I don't see a BMI sticker on the seat tube, so 60's sounds about right.
