I stood there looking at all my collection of bikes I have built and realized that if something happened to me my wife wouldnt have a clue as to the value of anything. I can imagine that all the cool part that I have amassed would be sold of to one other bike nut ,for a fraction of their value. I guess it really dosent matter, Because I wouldn'd be around to see all my prizes stacked on top of eace other in the back of a pickup truck. Now I dont know whether it would bother me more knowing someone would be driving off with that silly grin on his face knowing he just got a killer deal on a bunch of priceless old bikes or the fact that my wife wouldnt get very much money for my stuff. I was trying to dream up a way they In case of my demise all my stuff would self destruct and nobody would get it....Might get a little dangerous if I just got real sick. I Have decided to take a book and write down, low ball figures for all my stuff, and at the end tell my wife if she took any less I would come back and haunt her.

Just "will" them to Steve. He would get here top dollar in exchange for those 3spd wheels he needs for his PUB

Ha Ha....yeah, nobody else in our family would want a bunch of old bikes that's for sure.

A living trust would fix it all. Send me some of your bikes and i will send you a picture with me riding them without a cheezy grin on my face, that way you know where they went. Just tryin to help you out Uncle Stretch

paul, the most important thing to remember,is they were built here in texas,so they should remain in texas! :) preferably within 20 or so miles from where they were lovingly assembled. if i can help in any way,let me know!

I think collecting/hoarding bike/motorcycle/car stuff is cyclical. Somebody spends a lifetime collecting stuff and whatever they don't use by the time they take the dirt nap gets passed on to the next guy and the cycle continues.

Yeah I know. We have a flea market a mile or so away from us and the guy has a bunch of Steve Mcqueen's Motorcycle collection. I think he bought about 20 or 30 of his really early harley's and stuff that look like bike motorcycles. It goes to show you that you never own anything ...you merely are the keeper of it till your gone.
