I had been meaning to drop by an old bicycle connection's house for a while to look at a 70's Schwinn, but hadn't found the time. Finally I got a weekday off (he is gone on weekends) so I went by. He had told me he had a 70's "college-name" Schwinn with a good frame but rusty components, that he'd take $10 for. I got there and he had a Specialized MTB sitting. I had been kind of thinking of getting a mountain bike so me and a friend could ride some new trails that popped up. So a deal was struck to obatain both bikes and a handful of wheels and modern racks for $20 total. The Specialized needs some brake work but seems like a solid bike, the Schwinn... well, hopefully I can dig up a ladies model to rob for parts, or sell the thing. I just like this green, might even throw a 26" skinny coaster on it to have a little trash-town racer.
