a schwinn not rat rod material

I picked up another Schwinn LeTour today. I think it makes three I now have. It is a Chicago Schwinn but the serial number has me confused. It is obviously not very old. The number, on the bottom bracket is SI 08552. Can anybody tell me the year it was made? Thanks

I'm guessing mid 80's by the reflectors on the wheels and lettering but it's hard to tell.

On bikes made after 1982:
You can find a 4 digit serial number lightly stamped onto the headbadge.
The first three digits are the numerical day of the year,
and the last digit is the last digit of the year.

EXAMPLE:
3654 is 12/31/84 or 94 or? you determine decade.
