I saw this girls Shelby at the back of the LBS noticed it had some parts that I saw potential other uses for, so I traded the bike for an old saddle I had.[img

Not long after finding the parts were better off where they were on this nice riding old nugget, I gave her a makoverand found her a happy new home.

The next thing you know, I find her Big Cousin on the local Kijiji.[img

Based on a few fuzzy cell phone pics and a very agreeable price, I trekked across the city on the subway with my dog in tow, followed by a nice uphill mile long walk. I figured that the springer fork at he end would at least make it all worth while.[i

The guy that sold me this bike bought it with the intending to paint it flat black and rattin' it out.
What do you all think? Flat black or rust?
Anyway the downhill coast back to the subway was sweet and smooth.
I've had the lights and tanks off and it's all very clean. Only missing front lens and horn button. Meep meep! Also hit her up with some McGuires after the pics and she's just a little purdier now.
Hey, if anyone has a lens or horn button, any other info at all and a possible value, maybe ? All info would be appreciated. I can't find Jack.

Hey guys thanks for the feedback.

Dingo, if you're talkin about that sort of reverse double chain wheel on the yellow bike, sorry but it sold with the bike.
I don't know what it was or where it came from, but yeah it was kinda cool. The one on the other bike is gonna stay right where it is, I think.

Hey Santee,
These are the only two Shelby's I've ever owned or actually come across. We just don't see 'em around here too often in CCM'ville.
I'm having trouble finding info so far on the web for the White bike. It's an Airflo model, I'm thinking early '50s?
If you or anyone else could also help with ball parking a fair value for the complete bike, it would be helpful. No plans on selling yet, I just want to know when a good offer comes along. Not even thinking of parting it out.

Cheers guys.
