Any other airbrush artists out there? I just got one for Christmas and have been playing around with it. Maybe we can start a thread were we can share tips and tricks, techniques, and advice. Here is a little of my work. Please understand this is my first time using an airbrush in 6+ years and yes this was done with stencils.
My Ford Ranger
The taillight doesn't even show up till you turn on the lights or brake. Subtle but cool.
My nephew's S-10 Again subtle but cool.
Very subtle, from 5 feet it looks like Grand Theft Auto blood splatter. Any more than 10 feet you really don't even notice it.
The hood
Touched up the emblems freehand just for practice and to use the rest of the paint out of the airbrush
The grille
Here you'll notice a few skulls that are a positive image rather than a negative image. My stencil was getting a little wet and I accidentally slapped it upside down to do a reversed skull not thinking and when I lifted it it made an almost perfect reversed skull that was filled in so I repeated this a few more times with good results.
My favorite touch by far was the door handles, got to love the nano stencils.
And I had to add my trademark freehand.
