This is my first attempt at enhancing the look of a fairly rusted out bike. It actually came out better than I imagined it would. I knocked the crust off the whole bike with steel wool, soaked the chain guard and metal pedal parts in white vinegar till all the rust was gone, steel wooled the silver paint off the chain ring and clear sprayed everything. I only had gloss clear here at the house but I was really impressed with how much color it brought out. I'm scouting around for a Monark dual spring fork (one on ebay perfect color - rust) and I'm still trying to get the original seat apart to work on it. I'm really happy with the look and it was only a couple days work. I'll never shy away from rust buckets now that I've seen how great they can look.
