I was all hyped up on getting this build off started but now looking through my projects I have no idea where to begin.

The one I was going to use ('58 Schwinn American) cleaned up so nice I don't want to ruin the original paint so rules disqualify me right there.......Rule # 9. Paint must be applied by builder...

The second is rusty but I think it looks good the way it is, why destroy good patina?

and the third I don't have all the parts to finish it.

Well back to the drawing board.
 
Do the American. Nothing says you have to paint it. Original paint is a-ok. I am stripping the previous paint off mine to bring out its' rattiness.

Ok awesome! I figure with all the scrubbing to bring it back to life the effort should be counted as painting it. It was really bad but it's shining up nicely. Very tedious work.
 
How about a bike that was previously powder coated? Afterall it was my money that paid for it. :lol: :? :wink:
