Alloy vs. Brass nipples

Is there going to be an appreciable difference between alloy nipples over brass nipples to justify the cost difference? I need really shiney chrome nipples, but I'm worried the plating will come off the brass. I'm also worried the alloy won't be shiney enough.

Brass has the nice quality of gripping tight, but not getting corroded to the steel spoke.

It's my belief that the brass are stronger and more durable than the alloy nipples. Chrome plating must be applied over brass plating in any case so that argument is out. And because the base metal is not iron based they will not rust very easily. Good polished chrome will always be more "shiny" than polished alloy. And chrome will stay brighter longer. Alloy is good if you want a fancy color, thats about it. Just my two cents.
