I had everything set up for a good day. I arranged to buy a Schwinn Panther (chinese), nearly new with the rear hub making noise for $35. Then a guy answered my ad for a rusty beach cruiser, said he has plenty of old wheels and frames he was letting go cheap. I was off today, so I had it all set up to make out. I went by the guy's house and he wanted a fortune for rusty old parts and bare walmart frame. I laid out a rusty frame and 2 rusty steel wheels, nothing fancy, and he wanted $35, no tires handlebars or anything. Sheesh! So I figured the Panther would make up for that, but they had sold it to the next person who called, even though they said it was mine. So I went home empty handed, and the wife said to go try Goodwill. We had been there the other day, nothing worthwhile was there. Everything gets snatched up as they set it out. Usually, when I do see a bike worth something, everyone goes for it too, and then says they were going to buy it. But no one else was running for this bike, so I got it. Dyno Glide, $29.
I'm riding it to work tomorrow morning.
