Am I bent?

I am currently looking at this Spitfire. Not sure the of the exact year. Help with an ID would be great.

I was also wondering if you thought the fork was bent? I think slightly, but I'm not sure. I've fixed them before, but I'd rather not. I haven't had a chance to see this bike in person. The sheet metal looks good. I don't now if he has any more parts.

The tank alone is probably worth buying it. Even if it's bent there are million Schwinn forks out there, and should be cheap and easy to get another one. If the price is right I say go for it.

I have never had any "extra" money. Usually it is more like "almost enough" money. :lol:

Looks ever so slightly bent back, but these flast forged forks are so easy to bend back I'd go for it.

easy way to tell.. Take off the fork and look for wear marks inside the headtube 8)

That's a 24" bike, right? The tank don't look like it's the right shape toward the gills to be a 26". Gary

Looks like 24" to me also. If so I would take that tank of your hands if ya wanta get rid of it.

id get it. if the forks are bent, which they don't look to be, i can't even notice it. and im sort of ocd about bent forks. put some tires on and some handlebars and ride as is. :mrgreen:
