I have the dvr set up to catch it for me since I am at work. Also recording Pawn Stars, one of tonights new episodes is titled Gone with Schwinn or somthing like that.
Yeah that one sounded cool too. Something about a pair of Phantoms!

i thought the $6000 was kind of high too for the bike, maybe for a perfect original with guns and bags and whatnot but not for a restoration like that, but i did think the tank/light and badges for $300 .... Id do that deal all day. None the less one sharp bike and i think the guy got what he paid for for sure :)

And Id like to see more deals like the phantom / panther bikes on Pawn Stars for $3000 :D

Yeah I about crapped when I heard his price, but again remember they are in Vegas and the market is far different than here. Las Vegas is one of, if not THE, largest concentration of money in the United States. I went on vacation to Vegas once and I saw more money in 10 minutes walking through a casino than in 10 years here in Indiana.

Personally, I'd rather take pride in restoring it myself, rather than pay someone else to do my dirty work. Not to mention I would not strip the original paint that looked that good.

i think it was $3000 for the hopalong, but for that price, they didn't attach the coaster brake arm.

i noticed that too, looks like it was attached before the "customer" got to ride it though.

On that Cassidy bike, does anyone else remember how they shortened the white chain? I wonder if they know about Park chain tools.

Well the guy restores all kinds of different things, every tool you buy that you can live without is more money not in the pocket. I been working on bikes since I was 7 years old and I still to this day break chains with a dollar store screwdriver and a hammer on top of a piece of scrap wood. It has worked for years and still does. There's been several times I could go and buy one at Wal-mart for $10 or less but with the other deals I find for $10, like the Hoffman AND Redline frames at the junkyard for $10. Or the Schwinn Le Tour Touring and Coast king for $10 from the junker buddy.
Or even my $20 Peugeot folding bike.

You understand.

don't buy the $10 Bell chain break tool at Wal-mart. spend $20 on a Park.

X2 all the way!!! Park FTW!

x3! I ruined a walmart one 30 seconds after opening it. Got a Park and haven't had a problem yet
x4 mine was broken when i had just put it on the chain i hadnt even tightened much on it :(
