I did disassemble and clean up the frame of this Bike before the start date of this build off . But I am starting with a bare frame and some parts . So I figure it’s a fair starting point to enter the WBO . The biggest thing in the way to finishing this bike on time is winter has clearly hit hard here in the North East and I have some paint work to do in order to finish this bike . I’m hoping for a warm March

Plastic restoration work in progress. I still have a way to go on the paint / fill build up . I have to give the plastic bonding one step no primer Dover white Krylon paint a great review. This paint can also be used on metal . The color is great to use for white that has patinia from age . It’s not bright white and it’s not cream color it’s in between . This sprays great and doesn’t clog like the other brand I used to like that has become one use throw away paint . This also comes in different colors . The side plate is a before and after with more work to do on them . PS for the love of cheese If anyone has a Evel Knievel fender set for sale I’d be glad to buy them. I would also be interested in other EK Bike items to buy or trade for other bike parts.

Looking good. FYI warming spraycans up under hot tap water helps paint flow on good especially this time of year. But I do it all year around and it makes a difference.

The winter killed one of my last build off bikes because of fiberglass and paint (I was going to use horrible cheap fiberglass resin, not expensive West Systems that doesn't smell)—good luck with the weather!

Looking good man..those plastic pieces are the worst..I spent countless hours smoothing and filling those pieces on the resto I did for a client.i used a real thin filler..can’t cake a bunch on there as it will crack off..be sure to use a flex additive in your paint...good luck with your build..

BTW..Bruce Crawford and I got the decal set made up, so if you need one, contact him
Your bike came out great . I’m trying for a Original paint look if I can . But I like the new bike look also. I have the decal set . But I may need a second set at some point . I auctially have two of these bikes . I like the action figure strapped under the frame on your before photo. I am also going to do some customizing on this build .
