Amphibious Bicycles?

Just wondering if anyone has attempted to build anything like that?
Maybe a future build-off?
Been kickin' that idea around in my head for a while, would like to see any attempts. (especially ones that work)

It's like combining a car and an airplane. You have two different vehicles with completely different performance criteria, and when you combine them, you get a vehicle that is just completely awful at both.

Note that quite a few of these operate with some or all of the bearings submerged, so you're going to be repacking a lot of bearings if you actually use it. But I'd say that's pretty unlikely.

Perhaps the simplest solution is to just pull a canoe on a trailer behind your bike.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking about, kind of like that teal amphicar you see in the Arkansas river sometimes.
Something to ride on land or water. I dunno, could be a good wate of time

Has Atomic Zombie ever embarked upon this? I would think that Brad may have dabbled his feet in these waters at one time or another. If not several of his ideas could be the launching point for this type of machine.
