An RRB Classic

Hey guys, it’s been a while! Sold off most of my bicycle collection but I was cruising the old marketplace and saw a familiar piece come up for sale. Scored this old Schwinn DX from @ifitsfreeitsforme

He seems to think it was a 1938 or 1939. I’ll search for the vin over the weekend. Either way super pumped to have this bike, I can remember it from when I was just a little kid on the forum. Definitely a quality rat rod bike! Thanks Ian!! Stole your pics too, they’re better than ones I can take haha

Yes sir, we both started with bikes at a young age. I’m 24 now. If I remember Tyler had like 2-4 years on me but I’m not too sure.

Definitely a pre war bike with those dropouts. Great purchase, DX is a personal favorite. Some nice pieces on there as well

I'm having trouble accepting that this is a Schwinn... someone please educate me.

It looks like a double curved bar (rainbow, etc) roadster...but with a curved down tube.

It doesn't look like a pre-war DX, bars are too far apart.

will be interesting to see what year it is, and what model. Years ago someone on here told me it was a DX.
