Another Camping fiasco? don't look if you've a weak stomach

So Wife, Boy and I went out to Augusta, NJ for the crawfish festival (http://www.crawfishfest.com/). We met several friends there at the gate while waiting to get in. Right when Security said we could get our passes and head to our spots, Boy and his camping bud run head on, full steam into each other. The blood!! Bud's teeth took a gouge out of Boy's forehead 4 cm long. 5 stitches below skin, 12 above. 5 hours in the ER. Back to campground at 3PM. Same time Bud got back from two dentists who wired his teeth together to hopefully save them. Drink in my hand and the other Dad's hand at 3:30. Boys playing at 3:45PM. Craw fish, Jambalaya, Zydeco, and Funk all weekend. Great party!! Great People!

Well kids get hurt and its always a miracle that its not worse. It looked bad but it will heal and with any luck his teeth will do ok too. Its always a positive note when there arnt any body parts laying on the ground when it happens. :roll:

You are so right, Paul. The scar is going to be pretty sweet, he already loves showing it off. We are very concerned about the bud. Permanent teeth getting whacked like that is a problem.

That scar will get 'em girls down the road. That's almost as good as a combat scar. Reminds me of the scene from the movie Jaws when Hooper and Qunit are comparing fish bite scars with glee.
