It has been a busy week for me in the bike dept. sold 4 70's bike on CL and picked up 4 ballooners to take their place. funny thing is I was not looking for any, all calls came to me from previous contacts.
Is this a Columbia, tank appears a little different than I thought they were

Yes, Older tank than the ones with corners. Pretty sure those wheels, chain guard, and the handle bar came from something else, but still a nice bike.
 
Hmm, my serial # list shows C series #'s in 1958, and E series in 59. They used D series in 1939, but then it would have rear facing dropouts. They did have some 50's middleweight models with that style tank, chainguard, and rack though. The Perry coaster brake came out in '54, if I remmeber right. Check out Mr.Columbia's site for more info! -adam
 
Boy that bike looks like it will clean up nicely..! Neat score ..I would like to see it finished .. :wink:

Funny you mention that, bike does have 26x1.75 tires and middleweight style fenders
