Another tire width question....

Will 40-45mm tires fit 30mm 700c wheels? I have at least 2 inches and maybe more of frame space. If not, how wide can I go?

Yep, should be no issue as far as I know. 30mm 700C wheels are pretty wide, they should be able to handle 2.5" with out any worries.
