Hi! I notice there isn't as much interest in the girl's Shockmaster Forks as one that already has a fork tube length of 6 1/2". I've advised a few people on RRB that they would have better luck selling them if they were ready to install on a boy's bike. I listed a 1955 girl's springer for sale and got no response so I had my LBS thread and shorten the fork tube and I did the upper truss. When I relisted it as a sex change it sold immediately. I was curious how many other members have done this and if they had any difficulty? Is it worth the extra time and money? Thanks alot. Robert

I have done it, but I'm not sure it was worth it. Threading the fork tube further down was a pain, and then getting the upper trusses worked loose and threaded and cut was no fun either.
