anyone see these stingray versions in the wild?

I believe my lbs had the blue one, the lbs definitely had a blue 3 speed adult sized stingray with the sturmey shifter and disc brakes, but the rest is kind of foggy as it was a while back. Had a $500 price tag is the only other thing I can remember, it sold by the next time I was in.
