B.F Goodrich Schwinn ? ID needed

I was told 46 #J93255 on the bottom bracket But I can't confirm this, I got this on a sweet trade, traded a Giant mountain bike straight across, S-2 rims ,Model D hub ...very happy with that deal, he kept a schwinn New World skip tooth road bike for himself he got them both at a yardsale $40 for the pair :shock: and here's the sick part ,he tells me the same yardsale had a pile of stingrays ,but he didn't know me then or he would have got them for me

Nice trade. 97DX is the model. Year is probably correct.

You most probably got the best of that deal. The bike looks great, just a little bend in the forks, but that's an easy fix.

S-2 rims were new for '48, but they didn't have any J series #s til 53, and 52 - 70 have the # on the rear dropout. Maybe newer rims on a 46 bike? -Adam

That's a nice old DX. The '46 bikes had a tapered kickstand. I can't tell from the pic if yours is or not. Tanks for that bike are available from Maple Island Sales or on ebay. Gary
