I'm about to bite down and finally get a new Brooks saddle...this will be my first. Thought about getting the b135 but it's a bit too fancy and pricey for me. I noticed the b67's are a bit cheaper than the b66. Is it because they don't come with a clamp, or is it the lack of a second rail? Does that second rail on the b66 make any difference on comfort? If I get the b67 could I use any old seatpost clamp? Also some pros and cons on said saddles would be cool...I hear the break in period can be harsh.
Thanks in advance.

B67 is a good choice. It can be used with old clamp styles and modern seatpost too. It's style will look better on a wide variety of bike if you decide to change it out.

I own 3 old saddles and 3 new ones all Brooks. Break in is not that bad if you ride regularly.

B17- Road bike
Champion Flyer- Xtracycle B17 with springs like B67
B67- on Uncle Stretch Schwinn

I like the Champion Flyer as it is the best of both. I ride it more than any other including my 170 mile tour this last fall. I now have a problem because I don't like riding newer padded seats. Leather has become my saddle of choice.

Old Brooks
Professional on Dyno Moto 7
B72- on Chunky Monkey
B17 not mounted.
Also have a Wrights that is on my mountain bike.

Right on man, that's the answer I was looking for. :D Never owned one of those "modern" micro whatever seat things...

Anyone own or know someone who has a Brooks B-190? Its supposed to be the largest? It sounds like it would look better on a Balloon tire bike plus the Springs look Bad Azzzzzz....Is it much larger than a B-135? Thank you in advance!
