Bantam Tire size?

Hoping you guys can educate me.
I'm looking at couple of 20" Schwinn Bantams on CL. I'm not 'schooled on Schwinn', so I was wondering if a 20 x 2.125 (or fatter) will fit the frame/fork. I assume I'll have to swap out rims, but that's not an issue.
Don't know the years on them, early-mid70s, I'm guessing.

They are a Schwinn S7 20x1 3/4". A 20 x 2.125" would probably fit barely. Make sure the wheel is true.

Guess I should look for a girls Stingray or Lil' Chik if I want to run fatter tires.
