Installed the bottle opener on the frame. Plan to do some accent painting and lettering on it.
I still think it is cool how the magnet keeps the caps from falling down and giving me a flat tire.

I also installed the beer can covered chainguard. It's a keeper.

I loved the cars behind the chainring, you could do it with the star chainring as well. :wink:

You know I didn't even think about trying that. Here is a hand held mockup. I think I like it. Especially since one of the cans is Star and another is Lone Star. Thanks for nudging me.

I finished both of the tailights with the pushbuttom lights. Waiting on the lense glue to cure before mounting them.

I also converted my headlight to a Billy Beer can. I love how the old pull tab top is still unopended.

Here is a mockup of how I plan to make some knockoffs from pull tab beer can tops.

I also played around with different uses of beer bottle caps
The copper color of the Dogfish Head is perfect as a springer bolt cover next to the copper headlight bracket

Bottle cap Bar ed caps with a little bit of wine cork

Seatpost bottle cap cover with a little bit of cork

The Rogue bottle cap looks good for pedal caps

And my final thought on how to re-Cycle some beer by products is wrapping some in the spokes. I just slapped this on. I don't think I will go this route. It reminds me too much of the homeless guys with tin foil in their wheels.

I used to have a 6 pack of Billy Beer & held onto it forever thinkin it would be worth something some day! But, I drank them & tossed the cans! Dang! 8)

It actually works fine. I rode around for about an hour on the 4th down to the fireworks. It is definitely a low and slow cruiser, but it was a blast to ride. Sometime you have to ride a little bow legged because I really don't want to taper the front sides. They don't get in the way too much, because you sit so low that you don't get much leg extension.

I'm not going to add any cushion because I don't want to ruin the look of the skateboard.

I still have access to the seattube, so I can always pop a regular seat on when I want to.

Resecured the skateboard with heavier duty brackets underneath, then as I was about to mount the taillights, a potential seller came by with this little goodie. We are still negotiating, but it should be mine soon. It is a Monark Thunderbird with dual top rails. The paint is in good shape and it has light tank, fenders, rack , and chainguard. The fender airplane has one broken wing. New rims and tires have been put on along with a Schwinn seat. I haven't looked at the serial number. All of the other T-Birds that I have found online don't have the dual top tubes. Wish me luck.

you deserve an award for having the most "eco-friendly" bike built this year! :lol: glad you threw a few lone star labels in there amongst them "fancy" beers,too. it would look really sweet parked in front of the beer can house, here in houston. thats 40 years of dedicated drinking and collecting!

I don't know if anyone noticed before, but I had the headlight brcacket mounted to the springer bolt. Not a very good idea. This made the bracket loose every time the spring sprung. Rookie mistake.

Thanks Kota, guess I meant newbie rat builder. I have been flippin and working on bikes for a while, but this is my first rat build. After admiring all of the other cool builds on this site for awhile, it makes it easier to think outside the box.

Maybe I will start flipping rat bikes now????!!!!!
