This is what it looked like when I bought it. They said it was a Colson rear steer tandem

I bought it anyway after a brief maybe not so brief explanation of the dangers of long term drug abuse at a hefty discount. I wanted the 37 Dayton Huffman buried inside

This one has been a favorite at ratrod events but I feel guilty taking the same thing multiple years unless it has a serious facelift

I have had it for three years plus with the wrong steer tube so I finally shortened it

Then I added a 'finally looked right saddle

It still wants to fall over and I have been putting off a sidecar too long

So I welded something on there that keeps me from showing it until I am finished

Seven passes with the torch and bled on it. The kickstand can come off now

And so it was not steering properly and giving me all kind of grief then I heard a ricochet and thought it was this nut failing

Whatever they were very old and scheduled for termination anyway. I just hoped they might last through the getting the sidecar set process

This is why torque tools were invented. If your torque tools have power assist you probably do not understand

That is embarrassing, I couldn't reach my clamp and eyes closed four tries it looks hideous I will just cover that up or something

I scaled down the sidecar and it is much more managable around corners. It will look better this way and I will just have to settle for a cooler/dog/child carrier

Made a different seatpost, and added something to keep the frame from twisting when the car is loaded
