Looks as if a contemporary shift or brake cable could be used to fasion a shift cable for a Bendix 2 speed hub. The hard part would be to attached a cable stop or a small swage at the hub end of the cable, any thought on that ?

Gimme a day or so and I will have a pic of my set up. Used a shifter cable kit for a shimano 333, and knuckle from the same hub along with a locking brake lever. It all bolts together easy enough, had to stick a cable housing stop on the frame though. The stops that just screw down end up slipping and then your stuck in low gear again.
