I cannot vouch for this service, but I found it interesting.
You can use your own box and have them pick up the box from your house.
Seems like I can use a box from the bike shop to pack the bike, have them pick it up from my house in Texas and ship to L.A. for around $50 !

Been known to happen. Kristen Armstrong (gold medalist) just received 2 empty bike boxes.

Hey, if this is all legit, this could be great. I've only shipped one bike, and because it was a heavy old bike, shipped from coast to coast, it was $75.
