Buddy calls me today. Says he has a little red trike for me. So I drive over, and this is what he pulled out of a neighbors deceased fathers back yard shed. Needless to say, I was happy. I've been very lucky with my finds of late........

Thanks for lookin,
Regards,
Jules

Two almost identical Hawthornes.

A bike I've never heard of. A "NONPAREIL" out of St. Louis. Leather Seat. Cool lines.

And a ladies Hawthorne with a neat metal license plate, dated 1953, and an ultra-cool skip tooth chain ring.

Thanks again for looking........

ive seen a nonpareil before but in much worse shape, had a locking fork with the lock in the steering tube. they were sold at some chain of hardware stores if i remember right, not much info online on them that i've found.

CCR - I agree. There's not much on the net about them. All I seem to run into is others searching for info.

Rustinkerer - I'll go searching for it!

Road Master - Too complete to part, in my opinion. Thanks though......

While attemping research, I ran across this article. A couple of neat pics.

Thanks all.

Man, I envy you! It's taken me a couple months to score ONE here in Miami...

It's seems like most of the bikes come out from the midwest or upper east coast.

There's nothing out in CA either, so you're not the only one.

Sweet! Your ladies "Hawthorne" looks alot like a C.W. Road Master I just got yesterday:

With the exception of my chainring, I like yours better. It "squats" in the rear giving it a slightly better stance.

I have a brother-in-law that works in Benton Harbor. They live just outside Bangor. Nice area. Toooo much snow though :)
