My Whopper has some pretty big apes... I would guess they must be 36"

best picture ever.... except he can reach the bars.......

my roomates in college used to put all the stuff I wanted and needed on the top shelf in our kitchen and made sure to hide all ladders, step stools and chairs so I had to climb up on the counter and stand on my tippie toes to grab things.......

jerks.....

at the LBS in the town I lived in last year, I went and asked for some ape hangers one time, and they pulled a pair out of the back that are meant to go on recumbent bikes. They must have been almost as tall as me. I was going to get them... but realized they probably would be hard to use on any of my bikes.

edit:
... I am now wishing I bought them... got some ideas...

I don't have a pic, but one of my buddies had a set on his 20 incher that he actually had to reach over his head for, and his roommate had a set that were bent out of a single piece of 10 FOOT conduit!!!

my buddy builds race cars and bends pipe...... so I was thinking about crazy high bars (5ft) that come back down to my level.... it would be ridiculas.....

The guy I knew that had 5 footers had them curving forward away from the rider, then back inwards and down. He could STILL barely reach 'em, and he was over 6 feet!!!
