I'm amazed at all the brand names of current, or recent, bikes that I find regularly. I'm sure that there were makers in years gone by that I have yet to hear of, but these recent ones pop up all the time.I just bought , off of Craigslist , a Greenline cruiser bike. I had never heard of Greenline bikes. I have not picked it up yet but will post pics when I can.I have a German built Toscana three speed that looks like a 70s bike. I had never heard of Toscana bikes until I found it.What unusual names have you found? Let's see them. Thanks, and Happy New Year. :!:

These aren't really that rare, but not real common

I had purple anodized answer hyper bar ends on my first decent MTB but the longer ones, I loved the wedge mount they had. I also want your trials bike.

I have always heard of Murray, Huffy & Schwinn a few times but most of the bike shop bikes I never heard of until the past 3 years.

I have had a Vanqueir, Marcco and a Double V Engineering, all road bikes. I have a MTB made up in north Idaho, not sure of the name, its put away. I was told that the Vanqueir was a rebadged unit, Marcco was from Idaho and the Double V was from Aurora CO.

I'm more curious about pre 60s odd bike names, during the bike boom of the 70s and with cheap China manufacturing now there are many "rebadged" bikes that all come from the same company, so I don't fret much when I see a newer bike with an oddball name.

Those Manitou mtbs are pretty rare, especially unbroken. Though Manitou still exists as a fork maker as they started out, that was a very brief and unsuccessful foray by them into making bikes, by putting essentially the same shock at both ends of the bike.

It was pretty much the same back then also, Murray made many bikes that were rebadged for different retail and wholesale distibuters. like Sears, Penny's, and 100's of others!

True, I knew someone would bring this up, it's just that I prefer knowing the older rebadge names to the newer ones.
