Its sometimes confusing on where to set a price on the bike you have for sale. You may have gotten a heck of a deal on something and the majority of the people on here can't find one anywhere . You might list it low. On the other hand if you paid top dollar for something that everybody on here finds in the junk pile then you may get your feelings hurt when it dosent sell. Sometimes the problem is that the people here know what parts cost, and may can find them cheaper than you did . Since most of the stuff comes from the midwest ,and you live in Hawaii it will cost you more to build that love of your life bike. I found that with ordering tires from Kenda. Some people that ordered after I did got theirs way before I did....and probably alot cheaper on the shipping. Price is also subjective to what someone wants right now. Others that dont impulse buy will offer low and if they get it ok and if not ...oh well. Everybody here should take into consideration that they are worth what they are worth to you ,and if you dont get your price here there is always tha bay . Hope for the guy in Hawaii with the fat wallet and a last 15 second high bid.

I was tryin to figure out how much i could sell my tandom for so i put the price up kinda high or so i think and see what happens, i dont have alot in it so, what the hick put it out there and see what happens. Heck Uncle Stretch maybe you should take it off my hands, Its a Schwinn Deluxe Tandom its just what you need probably mail it to yea for a couple hundred bucks

i sell bikes by a simple business principle: cost of parts and cost of labor. doesnt matter what i think its worth. if it cost this much to make, ill try and sell for this much. if it doesnt sell, ill drop the price a bit. :D

that's what cool about this board. for the most part anyone wanting to sell parts or whole bikes here will put them up at good or reasonable prices.
i think most everyone here understand that you put up good deals for fellow members and if ya wanna make(real) money ya toss it on CL or fleabay.

what comes around goes around, or so they say.

Exactly. I sell my stuff cheap. I'm not out to make money, but just find a home for the extra parts I'm getting rid of anyway.
My goal is 8 restored bikes and 0 parts. Wanna buy a Continental?...complete...$10 8) For real! Come and get it... Gary
