First of all, I over payed for a bike on eBay, but that's neither here or there, had the shipping less than 20$, which I knew wasn't correct. Won the bike and he said shipping was going to be 173$. I said let's try bike flights. Shipping from Florida to Louisiana was 62$! He dropped the bike off Monday morning and I got it at noon today. I only used it once, but I don't know why everyone doesn't use it. Anyway, I'm a fan now.

Bikeflights is still the best way to go on bigger items (complete bikes, frames, etc.)
But those pre paid boxes from the post office are great for pedals and whatnot.

Not sure how they pull it off, but I shipped a full, heavy Huffy BMX bike from Ohio to Illinois for $17 through Bikeflights. Between myself and friends I have turned on the bikeflights we have not had a bad experience yet. Probably 10 shipments or so.

They have a contract with FedEx, it's discounted to them for bulk amounts since they ship so much.
It cost me $47 to ship my Graco from Ohio to Texas, it weighed 60#.

Now bikeflights has to make some profit, so it makes me wonder how much of that they pay to FedEx. I'm not sure who created bikeflights, but it was a great idea for them and us.
