This has been my winter bike project. I intend to use it mostly to ride to work and back, and also as an extra bike for someone who wants to go riding with me.
When I first received the frame from U.S. Choppers, the plan was to heavily modify it by moving the bottom backet and lowering it. As I was looking at the frame one day to try to get some inspiration, my wife (whom I often bounce around ideas with) said, "It looks like an off-road bike because it sits so high. You should make it an off-road chopper!" I took the idea and ran with it, envisioning a Monster Chopper. So I made a few mods - mostly cable guides, kickstand mount, fabricated my own flask cage for the jerry can flask - and finished it up with the right parts. I had it powder coated dark blue with a killer green and blue metallic. I also tapped in stainless steel button head screws around the wheels for that bolted on tire look.
