Thanks for those pics! I just noticed almost all the bikes in the Pics are chainless except the ones that have some sort of transmission. I've read that most of those bikes had no throttle clutch or brakes and they regulated the speed by switching the ignition on and off. They must have took the chains off in order to wheel them around easier. Musta been one heck of an adrenaline rush to race one of those babies!
 
Wow! Thanks for posting this.........Wouldn't it be nice if they made a BIG production movie of that era!
 
i have an old 1928 harley engine 21CUI ( peashooter) that im restoring.. i want to build it into a boardtrack racer like these....way cool
