#138 When I started this bike I had barely found out about this RRB.COM. it was in storage for many years, it belonged to an older gentleman from AL. The bike had been sprayed all over with blue paint, later found out the original color was red but me being me I decided to go with blue and almond color scheme.also types in the registry and I guess it could be a1952 or 1959 due to the fact that Schwinn mistakingly use the number twice. So it has a long lost twin!!!

first thing ng I did was remove the fenders which I believe weren't original, as well as the rear wheel and seat. I had some old Schwinn wheel hoops and built a set of wheels for it

this entire build was built while on the road at hotels and job sites. Wasn't easy. Few resources. Lots of rain days.. it was supposed to be blue but after I stripped it, I wanted it to tell its life story through the scars it wore on its frame.... It picked its own color scheme of polished metals and gold accents. All the gold went well with the brazing on the frame so it made my mind up for me. This bike is a tribute to all racers..... Risking it all for just a daily dose of adrenaline. The board track racers of old paved the way for this idea.... I hope you all enjoy my first ever built straight bar Schwinn with skiptooth drive line... It was fun and still don't consider this the end of this build, but a good start...

@Roosterbooster0 , the fact that you built this bike almost entirely out of a hotel room is astounding! Your vision for this build and then following your 'nudges' and intuition along the way really brought it to life.

Well done man! Definitely one of my favorites of the RRB BO 19!

I am ALWAYS a fan of the stylings of a board track racer and this is as fine as any I have ever seen.
Someday all us old guys should get our racers together and see who's the slowest! :21:

CONGRATS! and welcome to RRB and your first build off! Great work! In my opinion, you should use the hotel hallway pic as you "voting" pic up top. It shows of the bike details the best and it's relevant to the story that it was built in a hotel. Some of the other pics are a little dark or overcropped. Your choice though. Well don!e
