I wish I could have done more but this is all I had time for, I still need to detail it and adjust the derailer but it is a wild ride, I also need to shim the bars as right now its rigged to work but not pretty. Cool bike! That sprocket is beautiful. Not to shure about the possitioning of the breaklevers but now they sure are an attiongrabber. Cool!
Like to see it in a realistic setting though..

OK I finally got some color pics...that are actually in color, but first a spec sheet.
1.frame 1950 Indian Scout made by Phillips
2.wheels standard English 1x1-3/8 Sturney Archer internal three speed/with external derailer three speed from a 63 Western Flyer
3.seat Messinger of an old exercise bike
4.tires 1-3/8 (?) off the bay
5 crank B.S.A. off an old peugoet road bike
6 brakes whatever I could find laying around the yard
7. seatpost Ace gas pipe
8. fenders off of another Western Flyer
9 shifters 333 twist (sturney Archer?) off the bay
10. bars $5 flea market

Yeah, your previous pics had kind of a Startrekvibe going on with the aliencolored backgrounds... ;-) Looks cool though. But I think in your new pics you really can see the beauty of this bike. The bobbed fender is great and I love that sprocket/crank setup.

How did you figure out it was a 1950?

From what I understand, they were made from 1950 to 1953.

I went by the stamp on the Sturney Archer hub, if its original to the bike the year usually matches when the bike was built.

Mine didnt have the original hub. and I gotta ask about that drive system you got going on, Sturmey 3 sp. with a derailer? :shock:
