Boardtracker mixed with alittle lowrider? I need some people with experiences with both boardtracker bike and lowrider to give me their opinion on trying to combine the two. This is just an idea I had that I would like to see be a future project. I haven't seen anything like it on this forum but I think it can be done...maybe :?

Are you looking for something to do with that Huffy frame in attic?
I've got a template traced on some plywood for the tank! Maybe combine a 'Schwinn' springer with that 'leaf spring' fork idea you were talking about!
See, now you've got me thinking.....

Cheers!

when i started my boardtracker, i very much wanted a slammed version.

i started with a ross compact frame and used 24" rims.changed the rake and i used 20" forks and extended them just enough to except a 24" wheel.

its low, but it ain't slammed.

i've since started on a 20" boardtracker. one that can be picked up and thrown in the trunk of a car.
with clearance issues for the motor, its gonna be scraping the ground.

That being said, i see a couple big issues your gonna want to deal with.
with low riders, slow n low is the tempo, and thats cause lowriders handle like crap at high speeds.
the more the forks creep out the front, the worse it gets.

steering dampening will be a must!

engine height / tank/chain clearance

ya stack a tank on top of your engine(frame) and your already running a dimension thats gonna fight your lowrider style tooth and nail.
factor in the alotted space for chain clearance and the equation becomes more complicated.

ya mount your engine too low and the crank gets in the way of the chain.

perhaps you can run the chain under the crank.

its gonna take some creativity, but nothings impossible.

What is that first bike? The engine on that thing is sweeet!
thats one of "old school garage"s many wicked customs.(built from stratch)

that looks like it might be an old yami dirtbike motor.

it's a way back in the back of my head thing but i'm kinda thinking on it. do a quick search for confederate wraithe (not sure if i spelled that right). that's my inspiration.
