Hi,

just wanted to ask you guys two things about the spacelander.
I know it's a rare bike but how can i verify the serial number?
Secondly I'd like to know how to distinguish reproduction series and original series from 1960s.
(Do the newer ones even have serial numbers? reason for this thought: http://www.43bikes.com/fortythree/bowde ... den-07.jpg)

Thanks for the help,
Schnitter

i know almost nothing about spacelanders, some quick searches though

bomard industries may be the name on the original serial tags instead of bowden

brooklyn museum calls thiers a Bomard manufactured.

if it says BOWDEN INDUSTRIES i'm GUESSING its a reissue.
this ad from BOWDEN INDUSTRIES calls the bikes "continuing production" sounds like a fancy name for remake, repop, reissue, replica if you ask me (ad came from the same site you got your pic from)
