I'd love to see a picture of that. Is it a Bendix hub? You might have an older BMX freewheel adapter. Coaster brake cogs (those that are threaded) and freewheels don't usually have the same thread. I imagine threading a freewheel onto a coaster brake driver would be quite a battle.
 
What kind of frame is that behind the red box? for sale?

Your new find looks like an early cantilever framed Huffy. Whats the serial # start with? 7H, 8H of something like that.

Heres my 1960 with balloon tires on it......cool bikes.


 
the behind the box bike is a mid 30's elgin balloon tire. just got tires today for it.

yeah its a bendix. its weird too because it has the pedal brake arm but has a freewheel. i wont know until i take off the freewheel. the pedal brake doesnt work for that reason.
