no plans... except maybe for the wheels. the brake i believe was added because someone took off the rear cog and threaded on a freewheel

Nice bike, I like the patina. I would pull the Schwinn seat though. I've got a tan Huffy spring seat that would go perfect with it if you're interested. Here's a pic of it on my bootlegger bike, It's pretty comfy but I swapped it out for a bigger seat.

I'd love to see a picture of that. Is it a Bendix hub? You might have an older BMX freewheel adapter. Coaster brake cogs (those that are threaded) and freewheels don't usually have the same thread. I imagine threading a freewheel onto a coaster brake driver would be quite a battle.

Your new find looks like an early cantilever framed Huffy. Whats the serial # start with? 7H, 8H of something like that.

Heres my 1960 with balloon tires on it......cool bikes.

the behind the box bike is a mid 30's elgin balloon tire. just got tires today for it.

yeah its a bendix. its weird too because it has the pedal brake arm but has a freewheel. i wont know until i take off the freewheel. the pedal brake doesnt work for that reason.
