Build Off 15 Prize Pool

Quite the exclusive club, there's a few in there that I'm missing this year.

OK, change in my plan, the trophy mentioned above is too bulky to ship economically. So I’ll provide a custom license plate similar to the one for 14th place last year.

This year it will be “RRBBO#15” with the winners username and year of your bike plus 2020.
This will be awarded to 15th place Class 1 bike. In case of ties I’ll decide the tie breaker based on the views, reply’s and complexity of the build threads.

I'll follow suit and do something for the 3rd Place Class 1 prize, since that is where I placed last year.

Class 1 5th Place "Flexy" Prize

I'll also offer up a prize to 5th Place Class 1 like I do every year since that is where I placed in my first full build off in BO7 with Flexy.

Well, due to a Class 1 tie for 4th Place, we don't have a definitive 5th Place this year. But since that position is wrapped in that tie, I plan to offer prizes to both @marshall hudson for Higgy-O and @OddJob for RaTs GaSs. Great builds guys! Congratulations. Once I figure out the prizes, I will let you know and post them here.

This is awesome! Thank you Kingfish! I just posted yesterday how I got a 5th place prize from you in the past. I am honored to be on the podium and in the running with all these great bikes. Thanks to all for a welcome distraction this summer.

Man, this week was crazy! When I voted all three bikes were neck and neck in the low 40s, and they all crept up together! I think we had a lot of the same voters! Before I even started my build I was watching both of these and knew that they would be contenders. I am honored to be in the mix with them! Perfecting matching patina and getting the striping right has become an art form around here and the Higgy-O nailed it. And I grew up loving the Hot Wheels that RaTs GaSs was modeled after. Candy fades are no joke and OddJob made it look easy. Thanks again to everyone at RRB.

Thanks Kingfish. I feel honored to hit a top 5 in my first build off. There were some great bikes to compete against. Congrats to everyone who finished on time. The deadline almost caught me. I enjoyed the variety of styles here and picked up some tips and ideas for future builds. Thanks for all the votes and good comments along the way. Already looking for bits and pieces for the next one.

I've been in a self-imposed stay off the grid for a bit and will determine the top Schwinn-Framed Class I finisher(s). If there is a tie, the trinkets will be divided up but each winner will get a full suit of stickers. Apologies for the delay.

3rd Place Class 1 Trophy Update:

Fun playing around with this trophy. Nothing fancy, just bolting a few bike parts together. I wanted to use the Fuji cruiser chainring as the base, but I needed it to bow up a bit to have room for a nut and washer underneath. So I hammered it out a little between a couple of 4x4s, then massage it a little more on the cobblers anvil.

Then I bolted on a basic stem for the stand.

And later bolt on the vintage childs seat as the plaque .

Bolted the spinning bell on top just for the fun of it. That's all for now. I'll add graphics to the seat plaque later.

Finished the graphics tonight. Just had some fun with some groovy old school outlining I used to do back in school. I'll bolt it all together tonorrow before breaking it down for shipping.
