Made a few changes to the old rat trike. First, a set of dual disk brakes up front. Now I can stop when I need to. I finally added a headlight, but not just any headlight, which is why it took so long. Found an old gas lamp (probably a 100 years old) on ebay and it still has all it's original glass intact. I think it still works, but I haven't tried it yet. Also found an antique horn from the same period (another ebay find) that works great. And the last thing I changed was the new license plate with the new name - Burque Rat. Burque is short for Albuquerque, where I'm from. And Rat, of course, speaks for itself. :D Oh! I also changed out my mascot on the handlebars. I call him Pancho Villa. Guess I'm done - for now :D

who dosent love that bike. i love the fact that you have to reach behind you to honk the horn.

I just got back from the first ride on it since I put on the horn, light and brakes. That horn has a mind of it's own. I don't know if it has anything to do with the previous owner, but it likes to honk at all the pretty girls.

Having disk brakes on it sure makes it a lot more enjoyable to ride!

i loved this bike from its conception, but i'm starting to think you've gone too far.
looked right sleek and bad @$s, but now its startng to look more like the bag lady's
trike here in downtown london.

not a fan of the skeleton, blanket or lamp. the horn, well i'm on the fence.
i'm mean its only my opinion, but i think ya need to get back to basic's

sometimes simplicity goes a long way.

I love this bike. Period.
I saved pics of it and I keep thinking about it. It is simply just very cool. I'll be saving these pics too.

I'm with ICYUOD2 though on the extra stuff, I prefer a simpler approach....sorta. I say sorta because it's only a bike and a person can bolt stuff up and unbolt it anytime they like. So in the end I say add stuff, remove stuff, add some different stuff if you like....change it out weekly or daily or whatever. Bikes are for fun. Have fun.

It's not my bike and this is just all talk. When or if I ever get around to building one for myself, it'll look different certainly, but I'll surely have pics of this one laying on the workbench cheering me on.

By the way, did I mention that I love this bike? :D
