I'm going to buy some bikes that I really don't want. A local "indoor flea market" has four or five that he wants to make me a deal in. They are all girls bikes, two mtn bikes with 24" wheels and three , I think, smaller 16" or 20" bikes. I have bought several bikes that I was glad to get there over the past couple of months. The price has been $10 each. I guess I will buy this bunch for $20 to keep my connection open.If I had more time I would check them out and get them rideable and donate them to a Christmas charity. :)

I'm like him I picked up a junk girls bike ...got a good crank...a good front wheel..back was bent..kickstand ,pedals, fork and bearings and cups. Normally I pass by girls bikes altogether, but deorman is right parts is parts. Waste not want not

If the bunch is in fairly good shape, you're at least getting some descent parts that would cost you way more if bought seperately. Take what you want off of them, slop the left overs together to form a bike or two and sell it off or give it to someone in need of a bike.

i used to be like that but i try to limit myself now to what i am really looking for. that way i dont end up with a ton of half taken apart bikes in the pile.

I give all my "half taken apart" bikes that I've stripped parts off of and give them to our local "Build A Bike" program. I just call the guy up, he shows up in an S-10 and I load him up and they are glad to get the parts. Win - Win and then Win some more for the kids getting the parts.
