Well, I feel horrible about this bike. I bought it in the beginning of the summer trying to find a project. I allready had a few rat bikes so i though, hey...I SHOULD RESTORE THIS. I regret that thought.

probably one of the best looking rats i could of had

Now, the progress of my restoration isnt doing good at ALL its all apart now, and its been like that for a while(other projects, and ran out of money)

So tonight i decided im going to start again, but not perfect it and make some kinda rat.

here she is now

Ive been thinking all night what to paint her

either im going to match another bike i have, Primer grey, black red and white

or

flat black, red and white

or

Something ive been wanting to do on a tank bike- Metallicish lime green, with white "tribal" style flames with pink outlines on the flames

there has been some heated talk on here in the past about "what is a true rat bike" and i agree just clear it and your done. or you could just do like i did on the ratty truck i think clear is too shinny so i just use good ol motor oil.

I prefer 90 weight it ha a much rattier smell 8) I agree, it took about 60 years to achieve that patina why mess with it. Grease the bearings air up the tires and go for a ride :)

I agree on just a mechanical restoration and a rub-down with 90w.

That is a sweet Cadillac!
