Calling all tank experts...

I picked up this tank locally on a whim hoping it would fit my Rollfast and it doesn't. :x
So, what does it fit? Any ideas?
Is there a tank that will fit the Rollfast? Wanna trade?

Here's the long tank for the Rollfast you have. I believe that chain ring was only used on '41 and '46 bicycles. Is yours a '46 by chance? There are a few subtle differences from mine which is the '41 model but the tank will be the same.

Can you take a picture of the inside of both sides of the tank and one of the tank on the bike. It kind of looks like cwc maybe

I think the tank you have is for a 60's Rollfast but I'm not positve :?

If it were like jpromo's tank it should have a notch to clear the seat tube I think. I've seen the inside of a 50's rollfast tank and it doesn't look like your tank. Now we know it's not a schwinn dx frame tank so the other option will be for a roadmaster, hiawatha or maybe even a colson.

I think all 60's rollfast were cantilever frames

I also bought a tank not knowing what it was for. I still have to tap the dents out. It looks very similar to yours, tabs in the same places. I put it on my 53 CWC, but it is a straight bar frame, the tank has a curve in the lower edge, but I may use it anyway.

the top 3 tanks on the right are for a Rollfast, note the contour of the front and the thickness of the rear, they do show up occasionally on ebay. I was able to purchase 6 in 1 year, I have since sold 4, I have 2 left for 2 Rollfasts that I have. If I sold 1 of the bikes I would then sell a tank but right now I can't help you, sorry. the one that goes past the seat tube is much harder to find.

Wow! thats quite the collection of tanks. Please keep me in mind if you change your mind on the rollfast tank.

I will, and that is only a 1/2 of a tote, I have around 100 Tanks stashed
